I still remember when one day by chance, or destiny if you wish, we met somewhere. I loved you since day one and when I saw you for the first time I knew we were meant to be together.
We had some great times together and it's hard to admit it, but maybe I even dreamed about spending my life with you... but nothing is forever and sometimes even when you love someone like this, the relationship starts to crack down. The distance was our main problem, and gradually we lost the details that made us great together and we had to take the decision to end it.
Today, I'm as lonely as the day I met you.
***UPDATE*** Many of you already know this photo, it's not new but I submitted it to the Create a Feeling Contest 2: [link]

I like the thought behind this group of images. It does tell a story but I think it tells too much of the story. The final image would have been enough. Just a lone tooth brush in a cup. With that image alone we could put ourselves in the frame. Older guys like me know the pain of living with someone and the feeling of a solo toothbrush when they move out.
Most of the time conceptual photography doesn't need to take the 'tell them everything' aproach. In fact most times it shouldn't. You have to leave enough wiggle room in the frame to let people interpret how they will.
The image is also a little too dark. The background is the brightest part, which isn't bad as long as the subject has good light also. In this case the subject gets lost.
Now that you gave me your opinion about this photo and pointed all those "flaws" I feel even better about this piece. Let me tell you why
This was an assignment that one professional photographer friend of mine gave me when I asked him to help me improve my photography. I had to tell a story with 4 photographs, using low-key lighting. So, the fact that you say that 4 photos are maybe too much and they are a little too dark, makes me feel I did my job the way it was supposed to be.
Thanks for taking the time to comment, I know how busy you always are.
Just for fun, check this one out: [link] . This was the previous assignment, I had to take high-key photos without leaving my bathroom... and yes, you can see that I was still with my girlfriend back then.
Bye!
